EarthScope
Click this map find and access data from the thousands of EarthScope scientific instruments located through the contiguous United States and Alaska

EarthScope is the largest continental geology project ever funded by the National Science Foundation. Its goal is to explore the geologic structure and evolution of the North American Continent and understand the processes controlling earthquakes and volcanoes.EarthScope is installing a dense array of seismometers across the continental United States and Alaska. The sismonmeters will record earthquakes that occur locally regionally and throughout the world to produce high-resolution images of the Earth's interior. The array will consist of 400 transportable broadband seismic stations that will advance across the country in a roll-along fashion. The stations will have an average residence time of 18-24 momths and occupy 2000 locations over a period of 10-12 years.
